Currently rebuilding a Schumacher touring car to race at a local track that has recently opened. The chassis is designed for sub-c saddle pack cells but I can fit a 2s shorty Lipo down one side and put all the electronics on the other side to balance it out.

Have got a 13.5t brushless motor and esc for it.

I’m designing and 3d printing a mount for the battery, that’s easy enough.

Would like some recommendations for good value battery packs and chargers (that aren’t likely to burn my house down). I don’t need top end stuff and don’t want to spend loads. I gather it’s also a good idea to use a charging pouch?

Any other tips for storing the batteries?

I use lipos for Airsoft, whenever I am finished for the day I storage charge the batteries. Any decent lipo charger should have this function

Charging in a bag will be mandated by the club anyway....

I use these, capacity is correct and they have plenty of poke.
Most chargers sub £100 use the same charging boards, dual capacity is a good feature and I have used a Sky RC one for a few years now
