It'll be the fat end of 2 feet long. I don't understand comments on price for stuff like this, much like the DeAgostini partwork stuff. It's not a Matchbox toy and you can pay almost £400 for a good quality 1/18 model - I have, twice this year for new models and twice more for old Exotos... (Yes, I have a problem) £800 seems pretty reasonable considering the level of detail it'll have.

Is this a completely new model, or a repackaged partwork kit?

Doesn’t look great in the video. Typical plasticky soft mechanical details you get on these types of kit. There are no hiding places at 1:8 scale, every nut, bolt, washer and pipe clip needs to be there. The level of fidelity looks nowhere near even a 1:12 Tamiya kit with Top Studio detail kits.

That was my first thoughts-are Pocher not normally good though-I wondered if the video was a pre-production effort. Someone on the forum did a Pocher Ducati and it looked really good to my eyes.

That was probably my Ducati, I scratch built a lot of extra wiring to make it look that good.

Pocher are a mixed bag, some stuff is incredibly detailed and well thought out, others are a bit disappointing. Absolutely none of the electrical wiring was included, all had to be added. The painted parts were very nicely done, better than I could do myself, but then the fuel filler cap was painted completely the wrong colour, it should be polished aluminium, Pocher had done a lovely gloss red paint job. The radiators faces were very simplified, the Tamiya 1/12 kit has more detail.

I’ve also built the Aventador a few years ago, again very nice but missing a few key bits like carpeting. There is also a slight shade difference between the metal and plastic body panels if you look closely.

The other thing is Pocher don’t supply everything painted and if built OOB they can look a bit toylike. I used spray cans on the Aventador and Airbrush on the Ducati. I suspect just a bit of additional painting would elevate the 917K, but Hornby probably want to show it as an out of the box build.
