Visited the RAF museum in London today. One of the best museums I have visited in the UK. Lancaster, Vulcun, Spitfire, a wrecked Halifax, Harrier, Lightning. Incredible to see indoors. I have been up close to a Vulcan at the AVRO museum near Manchester - even stood under it, but seeing one indoors suddenly made the thing huge.

One of the most different exhibits was this, a fighter plane constructed with things the RAF uses. Very effective and creative. Love the use of a Maglight under the wing.

Bit tricky to photograph but wanted to share this.

Wasn’t there a TV advert for the RAF that featured a typhoon made from all the different tools etc? I think that’s what this model is based on.

Why not? Its a form of art to showcase the variety of careers/professions that the RAF are proud of.
