Over the last few years I have worked my way through quite a few of the Tamiya Re releases and a TT02 so far I have built.

Hornet
Lunchbox
Monster Beetle
Hot Shot
TT02 Escort Cosworth

I have a big birthday very soon and I fancy either an Egress or Avante both are pretty much the same price but which one to get?

I suspect the answer is going to be which ever one you want. I edging towards an Egress.

Has anyone got both? If so which do you prefer?

If you plan to run it, the Egress is a more robust car.
If the plan is to shelf queen it, then Avante smile

This - Avante is pretty much peak RC shelf fodder! RC art!

I would say the Egress is a better car (and better looking), but then I’m biased as I have just bought one as per the Tamiya thread.

I have both and if I had to pick one would be the avante, just seems a little more special, to me anyway.

For those you that have an Egress with motor and ESC did you go with. I’m NOT going brushless so any brushed recommendations?

I’m going for the Tamiya Super Stock BZ; I’m not planning on running it at the moment so will probably fit an ESC that came with my Futaba radio.

I run my egress with a super stock as well and a Tamiya esc. I got it with two sets of wheels and two bodies and stickers so I can have a running set and a shelf queen set smile

Looks like Tamiya have just re-re-released the Avante. I didn’t realise it wasn’t available, but just checked and it was the Avante Black Special that was on sale previously.
