Hello,

Ive looked briefly on the net but can't find what i require. Im looking to buy an off-the-shelf 00 gauge box truck/shell oil truck/similar size (or pay for someone to make it) then add some mid level weathering to it. But id then like some of this style graffiti added to it, with a slight bit of weathering added

I could do off-the-shelf and add the graffiti (posca pens) and keep it new myself but want the weathering (for someones birthday, hence needs abit of weathering) and its not something i can do myself.

Can anyone recommend a shop or someone they know who might be able to do this? Or if any keen modellers on here are able to help, drop me a pm as think it might break PH rules?

Thanks

https://www.themodelcentre.com/ advertise a weathering / graffiti service.

I’ve only seen their ad, I’ve not used them.

Did u mean £112? £12 would be a bargain!

I visited the model center shop last year. They had a really impressive setup. I don't own any, but the graffiti wagons they had on the shelves looked nice.

Sam's Trains on YouTube reviewed some of their work last year: https://youtu.be/DbwP2nEgapY?si=ecOu9Oc85UI9nDg2

Hello,

yep, £12, ive placed the order now and its gone through so will see if it stays the same.

also gone for the renumbering system

There seems to be a glitch with their website though as if you click on deluxe then renumbering, the price shoots up by £40 but if you click deluxe then type in the details, then add renumbering it adds the correct amount.

I've bought weathered models from them and their work is very good. I would give them a call though, I think what you have bought is graffitti on the out of the box model without any other weathering work. They offer several grades of weathering explained here and deluxe is the heaviest application, only really to be used if you want your model to have the driver reading the right copy of the Sun right number of rivets & oil streaks for that exact loco number on that exact calendar date.

Bit of an update, the model is finally going through the paint process, and someone mentioned the £12 being a bit cheap for the graffiti... you was right, meant to cost £100 but as im just getting a oil tanker done on one side, im being given a discount of £50.

All being well, ill have it within a few weeks
