Painting a diecast model with matt AND gloss
Discussion
Can anyone give any advice on how best to go about painting a 1:18 version of this:
I've never painted a diecast model before and certainly not one with gloss over matt.
My original idea is to spray the whole thing with primer, then the matt black and then mask off to finish with the gloss but I don't know if masking tape will affect the matt paint and secondly is that likely to produce a noticeable difference in thickness between the two finishes?
Paint will most likely be Halfords rattle cans unless anybody has a horror story about those...
