Hi there, we've got a tin toy boat recently. My dad and I are going to restore it. However, I would like to know if anyone knows any information on the manufacturer.
The toy was made between the years of 1940's and 1950's
It runs on torch batteries
It was made by Harold Flory's Boats of Bromley Kent.
I have tried internet searches, and I haven't found much information.
The boat is called the Snipe. Here's a photo of said boat. someone hand painted it at some stage.

Well you'd actually have to have a bath to test it out

There are a few search results;

Snipe boat on ebay
Snipe boat on The Saleroom
A book on british boat toys, a quite niche book topic to say the least.

The good news is our boat restoration is coming along nicely!
Thankfully, the paint has been removed as someone decided to paint it themselves with a trowel !!!
And the motors powering the boat are working too, not bad for a toy Built in the 1940s!!!
unfortunately, I have forgotten to take photos! oops !
