Vintage streamline die cast
Discussion
Not really a model collector, so somewhat out of my depth on here, but recently I have started to buy the odd vintage model as per photo.
I have no idea why I like them, but for me ( and I know this is not the conventional collectors approach) they should be:
- Naively streamlined
- Have little detail
- Be very playworn and can have most of the paint rubbed off
- Have no restoration and be original ( not re issued)
- No box ( have no interest in the box they came in)
It really is fun. I am learning about Crescent and Tootsie and Timpo and of course Dinky. Seems to be lots that spark my interest from obscure
( for me) companies in America. Any comment and suggestions from more knowledgeable persons welcome .

Nice collection.
I'm a bit of a closet Dinky fan, so can only pass comment on them based on dim recollections of my collecting days in my youth
You may already know this, but the 23 Series of racing cars (some of which you look to already have) contained various streamlined and record breaking cars in the pre war and immediate post war period.
In the post war period the 23 Series range grew to include open wheeled F1 racing cars.
