How to petition model companies for a new subject?

Afternoon all,
A question that came up in discussion with someone earlier - is there a way to lobby model companies for a new subject? I'm currently building a themed collection of diecasts - BTCC champions 1990-2000 - and one of the 11 subjects (1992) was only ever modelled once, terribly by a low quality brand, many years ago and has long since been NLA. All the others are available as new or reasonably modern secondhand, quality diecasts by at least one company (up to 3 in the case of some particular subjects such as 1994).
There are a number of "Code 3" conversions around from 4 or 5 different amateur enthusiasts and I've looked at them all. However, the livery of this car is particularly "fussy" and the paint an unusually bold colour combo - without wishing to disparage the efforts of people who have done a far better job than I could ever do myself, none of them ever look 100% in terms of masking, logo placement or realistic wheels and I just know it would make my teeth itch when lined up alongside off-the-shelf models.
I really can't understand why this particular car has never been properly modelled, and with 2023 technology that complex livery could really be done proper justice - so does anyone know how to suggest to or petition model companies to pick up a "missing" subject?
