Has anybody built a cada set yet? Considering getting a range in…

They appear to have a nice range of mainly vehicles, a few that I’ve seen that I like the look of:

Tractor

This looks fab - telehandler
https://decadastore.com/collections/master-series/...

Ae86
https://decadastore.com/collections/initial-d/prod...

Humvee
https://decadastore.com/collections/scale-model/pr...

Excavator
https://decadastore.com/collections/construction/p...

There are lots of cars, several blatant rip offs of the 488 pista. But I like the look of their more original stuff.

Cheers.

I have a few if their models, mainly the rip off stuff, that being said they are very enjoyable builds and honestly don't think I'd get a lego set again because I can't see where the value difference goes.

BTW- the models you are looking at can be found much cheaper with a bit of research...

I’d be buying bulk from China, just posting those links as the info is decent.

Glad to hear you think they are good. Any issues?

No issues with any of the kits, never any missing parts etc. Of all the "not real lego" Cada builds have been my favourite

Won't that be a sure way to lose your Lego account?

However ..... I love the excavator smile

Hi,
I have a couple of their models, some Lepin and Mould King as well as a lot of Technic things. My experience is that the quality is very good, never had a missing part in any sets, and often seem to have more surplus than expected; colour consistency is good, instructions are usually clear

The area they struggle on in my experience is the precision and tolerances around elements that need gears, cogs, differentials, hydraulics, i.e. things that generate motion and motor functions.

If I really want something to move and have all its functions work smoothly I go Lego, but if I want to just build, display or am not too concerned if the gears/motion are less smooth then I happily purchase Cada, Mould King (less so Lepin)

Hope that helps

I think they’d be pissed with Lepin or any brands they have lawsuits ongoing with, but cada appear to be playing by the rules?

Do Lego not object to Cobi? I know they make mostly stuff that Lego would never make though

No, sold it for years. Cobi don’t step on their toes and operate in a mainly military space that LEGO are not interested in.

I have got no experience of them, but I have no issue with buying non Lego sets if they are not a direct copy of a current Lego set, so if I could buy something like these from a trusted U.K. source, I’d be interested.

PS: new shop looks superb Russ

Agreed, a few of the cada sets (the pista lookalike) put me off as they look so similar to some technic sets. However from what I can see they don’t infringe any IP, so I’m happy to consider giving a selection of sets a go - just need to agree some commercials.

Shop is getting there, will start tarting it up a bit soon 👍🏻
