A restoration in 3 pictures.........

As found - abandoned in an old barn

Safely recovered - at home in the garage

Ready to hit the road again

............If only it was that easy in reality !!!!!!

Did you sell the plate to fund the restoration?

Love that!
Question is though, did you distress the Viper only to reverse your work in restoration or have you presented the images in reverse, i.e. you started with a pristine showroom fresh Viper, snapped it in the garage and then gave it a kicking for the barn find diorama?
Been watching too many murder mysteries lately so find myself questioning all presented evidence and proposed timelines!

I actually got the 'distressed' Viper in the mid 90's. We have camcorder footage of my eldest son, who is 28 now, playing with it when he was about 2 years old. Over the years it became battered, bits fell off and it actually only has 3 wheels now. So to answer your question, no pristine Vipers were harmed in the making of the model!

I got a second hand replacement (burago 1/18) about 3 years ago. I have approx 20 Viper models, and finally got the real thing in 2015 - but can't find the exact model in 1/18, although I have an Autoart one in red which I might paint to match
