looking for a deep ruby red translucent paint to cover a clear part that will be back lit

any suggestions please

Humbrol or Tamiya both do clear colours.

Tamiya clear acrylic, I’ve used the red on truck tail lights that are illuminated. The more coats you use, the darker it gets

was looking at the tamiya red on youtube...looks more like burnt orange ??

No need to buy translucent paint, just mix the required colour with some clear (Tamiya X-22) then you can have any translucent colour you want. Orange for indicators, bright red for reflectors, dark red for rear lights etc. I've been doing this for years, you can also do traffic lights, aircraft navigation lights, etc, by the same method.
