Filler and putty

What do you use?
I am finally going to start a torpedo boat my wife bought me about 5 years ago.
Still need to buy an airbrush as well.

I use Milliput and sprue goo, which you make yourself by dropping surplus sprue into approximately half a pot of Tamiya Extra Thin (see any number of YouTube videos). Different people like different fillers though.
