Hobbymaster diecast aircraft stand instability
Discussion
Evening all,
Does anyone else on here have a Hobbymaster diecast warplane in 1/72?
Having finally got a display cabinet, my pleasure at being able to assemble and my 2 Phantoms turned to consternation - when I realised that unlike Corgi's sturdy affair, the 2 dimensional upright in the HM stand is about as stable as an African democracy.
Fore and aft is fine but it flexes and wobbles unnervingly at the slightest sideways perturbation.
Is there a stronger alternative, or else a successful way to reinforce this one please? Passing double decker buses crashing over speed humps make my house shudder, and I've had to dismount it for now lest it wobble sufficiently to fall off!
It's a real shame, as this is my first HM diecast in a collection of of Corgi - and their Phantom is way more detailed and intricate than the Corgi effort - but they let it down with a crappy cheap stand!

Thanks for the repyl,
I've now seen you can get a different HM stand, like so:
However I'd be inclined to trust this one even less, as you're now relying on a little bit of cork friction up the tail pipe!
I can only assume HM stand designers assume everyone's display case is in a hermetically sealed chamber mounted to bedrock.....
