Connecting an airbrush to a full size compressor.
Discussion
I started this on the bodywork forum but wonder if I'm not better off here.
I was given some advice but still cannot find what I'm looking for.
I have an airbrush with what I understand to be a "Badger" hose fitting (M5x50?)/ The compressor has modern quick release fittings but I believe I can unscrew one if necessary. I'm guessing you guys don't use pressurised cans to power your airbrushes, how do you connect to a full size compressor?
Thanks in advance

I did exactly that.
From the big compressor, using the quick release pipe, I plugged it into a pressure gauge/water trap such as this:
Then, on the outlet side, I had a screw in adaptor to the airbrush hose. The water trap is normally 1/4 BSP, so you'd need a male quick release with male thread
or depending on the end on the hose you are using
and a 1/4 BSP male to 1/8 BSP male for the airbrush hose.
I did find that a quick release on the airbush side was more beneficial than the screw on hoses though, but that was purely an ergonomic benefit for my workshop layout.
