I'm looking for a realistic model of a dirt bike in 1:12 or preferably 1:10 scale. All the models I have seen are let down by having very thick spokes on the wheels that rather ruin the scale realism. Can anyone recommend anything?

Tamiya do some kits but they are a bit rare and expensive.

You can buy aftermarket spoke kits on E bay that are more to scale however they look seriously involving to fit i have a matchbox Vincent Black Shadow id like to do but the spokes in the kit are seriously too thick if you go on youtube and search for vincent in 1/12 scale theres a vid of it being done . Skills needed .

This is the dirt bike model I purchased in the end:

It is the Automaxx KTM 250 SX-F No.94 Ken Roczen 2011 Edition. It is 1:12 scale and is officially licensed by KTM. It carries a full set of authentic sponsor decals.
