Hi,

I'm about to buy a Traxxas X-Maxx 8S but I'm not going to get the Traxxas batteries/charger in case (or when) I get something else non-Traxxas later. I already have a Summit and the dual EZ-Peak Plus charger, but I'd like to get some larger capacity batteries for the X-Maxx than Traxxas make.

Where do you get your high-capacity, and perhaps higher-discharge LiPos from? I am bothered about quality, and I keep my existing ones inside safe-bags in ammo cans in the garage.

Thanks.

Recently I have been using Turnigy graphene panthers from hobbyking in both 3s and 4s and have been impressed with their performance in cars and planes...

They punch HARD for almost the full duration of discharge, Balance up very well And can charge at 5c which is important to me as I can bring them up from storage very quickly.

I bought a couple to try out and they have lasted very well in some very high discharge situations (hotliner) and don't get warm when charging and only slightly warm when hammered in discharge.......So i have ordered more as I feel the extra money is justified.

Edit - popular with xmaxx owners it would seem

Buy from where ever Google tells you are in stock.
RC battery and component supplies are very patchy at the moment because of covid/brexit/container ship f*ckups.
