I took the plunge, mainly to cheer myself up and purchased a Launch Tower from Yourwoob to supplement the Lego Saturn V.

To start with, it isn’t Lego. There is a lot of bags, not very well marked. Instructions are different but seemingly clear. Pieces feel slightly inferior, but starting to click together this afternoon ...... it connects really well, if not a little better than Lego.

And have started!

Once you get into the non Lego style, it’s absolutely fine.

Mrs in the background building some Harry Potter that daughter lost interest in!

Anyway, dinner time!

This one:

Delivery between 2 and 3 weeks. Arrived in well packaged and secure box full of poorly marked bags.

There is a YouTube video of a similar one made by Vonado I think. He had a hard time building so time will tell. So far all seems good!

Another one in to know what you think as you go. I’ve been out off by vague rumours of fragility and poor quality, so a first hand account will be of interest (probably to several of us).

Had snags with it last night. Building the base is straight forward, but on top goes a number of flat tiles of various sizes. The larger ones don’t seem to grip the knobbly bits underneath (no idea what they are called)... so I ended up with an uneven surface and it looked crap.
My thoughts are it’s the lack of support between lower and upper flats, and the not so rigid flat pieces.
Luckily I have just replaced a number of sun damaged bricks off my Death Star (the chemical trick did not seem to work probably die to a lack of sunlight).

So have taken apart and am rebuilding with extra support struts in place. Then I will add the flat tiles as I fit the flat bricks. Hopefully that will sort it ..... maybe also with a bit of superglue.

Had a busy weekend in the garden so little progress until tonight! This but has been enjoyable, a little gluing to ease construction. Seems fairly rigid.

The flat tiles are a lot flatter now, some have not gone quite flush but hey ho!

All in all I am pleased so far.

Another criticism is the instruction booklet does not quite clearly decipher the colours of the pieces.

Yes a thumbs up from me - as long as you strengthen the base!

Tonight’s update. Have stepped away from following the instructions to the letter as it is ever so fiddly with my sausage fingers.

The instructions detail building each level of the tower as a stand alone unit the. Adding to the previous level. Then on completion of all, add the tower to the base platform.

My fingers made it very fiddly so am building each level on the platform. It seems quite solid ..... similar to my Lego Eiffel Tower.

Finally finished it.

Have to say the photos don’t do it justice. It is really cool, though to be honest it is very receptive on the tower. And fiddly as fk!

Although the pieces click together very tightly, there is a wider tolerance than with Lego, meaning the sizes of the more technical pieces can be slightly off.

I have used a fair bit or super glue mainly due to the video on you tube, and I think it needs it. There is a natural lean on the tower but enough flex to straighten it and it stays vertical as can be.

The astronaut walkway has a bit of a sag on it and that is the only bit I am going to work on.

I have one 1x1 tile brick missing which is easy to replace, but the coloured pipes up the side was deficient a couple white ones, but excess grey ones. Like I said before the coil pours were quite tricky for me to decipher so I may have gone wrong in a place or two that caused that mismatch.

I paid £117. Three week delivery. Well worth it. I suggest anyone taking this on takes time to ensure as the tower goes up everything is rigid, and use glue!

I am happy. Kids think it’s cool! And not many people have it!!

And apols for the iPhone pics! I will try to sort them tomorrow, but my Chinese is inbound and The Masked Singer is on later!!!

Agreed. It looks great,

I started reading this thinking it was going to look st with dodgy third party fake Lego and was completely wrong.

I might get this too. I think my Saturn 5 is missing loads of bits though after my son had it on his window sill for a year or so plus it seems to have gone yellow on one side. hehe

It’s on the mezzanine don’t ya know!!! Minimal traffic walking past too therefore minimising accidental knocks!

Lesson to self..... don’t fiddle with it once it is up. I did yesterday and knocked the top bit off the Saturn V which promptly fell underneath the table it is sat on!!
