After reading a thread on here, I bought a few Metal Earth photoetch models a couple of years ago. I finally got round to finishing one this week (Imperial Star Destroyer), and started another. Quite nice models, cheap, and no painting required, which is a bonus for something that I can put to one side when I've got work to do

I'm really struggling with some of the tiny parts, and the instruction sheets aren't the best. Even with really small pliers, getting inside to bend the tabs is tricky. I've resorted to using tiny drops of superglue in hard to reach places.

Does anyone make similar models, but big enough to see the parts without using strong readers and a 10x binocular headset?
Anything space, automotive or military would be fine, it's just something to pass some time when when I can't afford to buy more Lego, and don't want a bigger scale model to totally take over the workbenches.

I like the look of some of those. Not cheap though.

Have a look for MU Metal Models, I just built an Optimus Prime that is about 10" tall or so, not all that tricky and the end result looks really nice.

I got mine from here I think it was, they have a lot of other brand metal models too:
