Hello all.

My father in law is a keen modeller and he’s currently building a 1:48 Phantom. He’s previously built mainly WW2 planes, which he displays in a cabinet with correct scale/era support vehicles (tankers, Jeeps, re-armouring trucks etc) dotted about.

It’s his birthday soon, so I thought a nice present might be a vehicle or two to display with the Phantom. I know they spanned several eras really, but it would be nice to get something a little different.

I’ve checked the usual places I get bits from (Emodels, Amazon etc) but can’t find anything from that late.

Anyone have any ideas where else I could look or any links please?

Cheers

Thanks. I did try Google (as expected) but couldn’t find anything without knowing where to start.

I found plenty of 1/48 airforce and navy stuff but very little from that era.

What Air Force or Navy Phantom is he building, USAF, USN, RAF, RN, someone else?

The crew clothing and equipment will vary.

Thanks I had a look through but many of the items are out of stock, sadly.

I liked the idea of a tug but can’t see any they have in stock!

I’m not actually sure to be honest. I’ve been trying to work out how to find out but can’t think how without giving the game away!

I think that as long as it’s of the right era it can be a visitor plane, at worst hehe

Those 60kva GPU's were pretty much out of regular service by the the late 80's if that helps with dating things.

The Phantom was used by many air arms. I think you should try to find out if there is any specific Phantom he would like the model to be of - e.g. RAF, USAF, Royal Navy, US Marines, US Navy Luftwaffe, etc
