Diorama build help.
Discussion
I collect 1/24 scale Nascar models. I want a neat way to photograph them. Rather than building a cheap light room, as lots do, I have thought about replicating a typical Nascar team shop. I have never done anything like this, have no skills in building something, but it'll be some (hopefully) inexpensive fun when it's rainy outside.
The aim is something like this:
I want a corner to happily home one or two cars that I can photo without seeing past the edges of the diorama.
I can measure up a base and mock up how long/wide/deep in needs to be for my intended use. I've had a google for 1:24 scale motorsport furniture, but my main question at the moment is how I can achieve that shiny shop floor finish? Is it a case of using some sticky back plastic sheet or is there a paint that will give me that type of finish?
TIA!

ha. Not stating the obvious. The picture I've shown probably isn't utterly ideal.
I guess I want something that is more mirror finish than a gloss paint, to mimic what these race shops have. (Which I'm assuming is like those floors that always make trainers sweak when you walk on them)

How about some Gloss Grey Perspex glued to an MDF base?

Personal preference, but I'd go for a more satin finish.
If you wanted to represent the tile joint lines you could scribe them into the surface with a Tamiya Plastic Scriber, then rub some darker grey acrylic paint into them.
