Herpa, Minichamps, Art, Jouef 1/43rd Ferrari Collection
Discussion
Hope you don't mind me starting a new topic MOD's. As well as sharing a few pics of my collection of 1/43rd scale Ferrari's, this is also a request for anyone that has some Herpa 1/43rd Ferrari's for sale. I'm particularly interested in limited edition models. Mint and boxed. Please PM me if you have anything you think will add to my collection.
I started collecting Herpa Ferrari's over 20 years ago and then added some Minichamps models along with some really nice Art and Jouef models (I love the detail on these) as and when I found one I liked.
My Herpa collection includes some unusual limited edition models. My favorite is probably the black F40 (front row, far right). It's not the standard F40 though. This one has gold wheels and an Italian Vehicle Registration Code (I) on the rear bumper. I also like the green 348 (4th row up from the bottom, far right). I was told this was a limited run model but I've no idea of exactly how many were produced. I think maybe no more than 200. The Cavallo 348 at the very top of the picture and the 2 Kart 2000 348's below and either side of it, are all limited to 500. The Cavallo is number 13 of 500. There's a black 348 with turquoise wheels (5th row up from the bottom) which is quite rare and an equally rare dark green 348 on the far left of the 3rd row up from the bottom.
The 2nd pic of the Herpa's shows some of their more common models. The Chrome Testarossa in the middle of the top row is quite unusual.
There's nothing particularly rare in the Minichamps collection. They are nice models though and I'm sure there are plenty missing from my collection. If anyone knows of any rare models from Minichamps, I'd be interested to hear from you.
I guess the stand out model from Art, is the clear bodied 500 TRC (bottom row, far right). It's number 2342 of 3000.
And the Jouef's are stunning in their detail. Does anyone know if they made any other Ferrari's in this collection? I thought they made a 250GT Lusso in silver but I've never managed to track one down. I remember seeing one in a catalogue years ago but have a feeling it never went into production.
I have all the original boxes for every model.
Please excuse the poor quality of images. I hope you like my collection though:

Very nice collection, I didn’t know Herpa did 1/43 stuff having only seen their railway-scale cars (I have an M3 and 959 bought years ago).
The only 1/43 Ferraris I have are (I think) a Brumm 126-C2 of Gilles and a Minichamps 312-T4 of his.
Would love to see some close-ups, how is the quality?

Thanks. I guess Herpa are well known for their railway-scale vehicles and goods vehicles (lorries) but I think they also produced some model aircraft in various scales. The only 1/43 Ferraris I have are (I think) a Brumm 126-C2 of Gilles and a Minichamps 312-T4 of his.

The Herpa models are all plastic which I think allows for a much finer detail. I'm a big fan of their models.
I'll happily take a few close-up pictures tomorrow. The quality of the image should be much better. Is there any particular model you'd like to see in close-up?

You might be on sticky ground! I collect brochures and started a thread 10 years ago to ask if anybody had any for sale. Just recently I got a wigging for asking in the forums.generationx said:

Definitely the clear body model please!I'll get a selection of close-ups from various models tomorrow.
As promised, here are a few random close-up pictures.
Art Ferrari 500 TRC (clear body). This is number 2342 of a limited run of 3000:
One of my 3 Jouef Evolution Ferrari's. These are diecast models with some really lovely details. I also have a red 250 GTO and a red GTO Evoluzione in my collection. I don't know if there were any more Jouef Evolution Ferrari's produced. I've never seen any. This is the 330 P4:
Some random pictures from my Minichamps collection. These are all diecast and have some nice details but nothing opens on them which is a shame:
My favorites though, are my Herpa models. Every model is different. There are no duplicates. They're not diecast, they're plastic which I think allows for much finer detail. I have several F40's (black, red and yellow) in the collection. These are the black F40's:
One of the yellow F40's and a red Challenge G.T. Superturismo:
Then my favorite model of the entire collection (probably). This is a black F40 but with gold wheels and the Italian International Vehicle Registration Code (I) on the rear bumper. This is a limited edition model, 1 of 5000:

And another favorite. This is a mint green 348. I'm told these were given to certain Ferrari dealers and that very few were produced:
One of my 348's made for the Kart 2000 exhibition. This one is a ts in red, the other one I have is a blue tb. Production was limited to 500 (certificated) of each. You can see the removable targa roof just to the right of the certificate:
And finally. I have several Testarossa's in various colours. Here's a yellow hardtop and a yellow targa:

As I mentioned I've collected the odd Herpa and Jouef Ferrari on the way, although I have mainly collected Gorgi Lotus cars. This is my collection that I started in the 80's all are mint with mint boxes stored away for safe keeping, it's a bit dusty so this thread has spurred me on to have a good dust-off and clean. Just noticed the very delicate metal Ferrari name is bent on the Jouef 250

There's definitely a Jouef Evolution 250. I've got one, may even have a couple.ETA. According to the info on the box, there are 9 versions of the 250.

Can you upload some pictures? Of the cars and the boxes? Is yours definitely from the Jouef Evolution range? I think they made models labelled as Jouef and Jouef Evolution. Either way, I'd love to see some pictures.ETA. According to the info on the box, there are 9 versions of the 250.

And a red one.

Thanks. I've seen that particular model. I've been doing some research and have found this one:https://www.carmodel.com/jouef-evolution/3011/1-43...
It's slightly different in its detail. This is the one I was thinking of but I thought they made it in silver, not red. It seems Jouef made some slight changes or maybe offered some alternatives as part of their Evolution range. I note that this model is also in different packaging to the three that I have. Confusing!
