Any experts on here? Looking to recommission a loop of track but no idea what sort of costs I’d be looking at!

I've no idea either but will follow with interest, 7 1/4 is quite large isn't it?

It certainly is! This one, The Spinney Light Railway, is in a garden not far from us. It even has tunnels through which passengers can ride.

The current owner bought the house with the railway already there, although he wasn't a railway enthusiast at the time. He continues to let the regulars use it, as they run charity events for the continued use of a rather special location. The Spinney Light Railway

Thanks, have tried some of their listed suppliers but not the forum, seemed rather dead!

I think my own story might end up being similar.

We're not talking anything as remotely elaborate but the track length is longer.

Try tracking down your local Model Engineers club. In terms of the Forum being quiet most of the 71/4" gauge modellers I know (through my dad, which probably explains my point) aren't great internet users.

This appears to be the most active 7 1/4" Gauge Facebook group, which actually has posts today: 7.14.railways

Sounds good.

I would certainly track down local clubs, and or other railways in the region. Where in the world are you?
