Hooked up a battery to charge today (Traxxas 3S, only used a dozen or so times) - charger says “Connection Break”. Connections all seem good, clean. LiPo pack shows 1.5v. It was put on a storage charge before, well, storage. Deceased?

Are you getting 1.5v at the end of the charger leads?

At the end of the LiPo connector (battery side rather than charger)

If it's gone that low it doesn't bode well unfortunately frown Have you checked each of the 3 cells individually on the balance cable connector? At least that way you'll be able to see if it is all cells failed or just one, however even if it's just one then the whole pack will be dead and probably needs fully discharging and safely disposing so you mitigate the potential fire risk. I feel for your loss as these things aren't cheap frown

How long should they be able to sit at storage voltage? It’s been a month or so, but seems a bit nuts for a £70 battery!

I've given a few low voltage lipos a kick start with a short nicad charge. It gets the voltage back up to where the charger will charge them. Then balance charge as a lipo. Do it outside though, just in case!

A blast on NiCd brings it up to 7.5v overall but still won’t charge on LiPo mode. Cells show 11.5V 3.5V and 3mV so imagine a cell is dead.
