Hi , to relieve the boredom of furlough i was considering buying a couple of model kits of cars i used to own .
I haven't built a model since i was a teenager which wasn't yesterday ( or the day before come to think of it ), so took to Google looking for a model of a Manta GTE , Mini 1275GT , Audi coupe , Mk2 Escort but all i can find are rally mpdels and i would rather build more like i had.
I also thought about a 57 Chevy Bel Air convertible which i did a tour in when i was in Cuba a couple of years ago and is one of my favourite ever cars but i'm really struggling.
Not looking to spend a fortune and not bothered if it is plastic or diecast which i need to build , any suggestions ?
Thanks

You have my sympathies, I was looking for "ordinary" road cars to put on a diorama with the 1/24 Routemaster bus. Particularly a Mini and an Escort. About the closest I could find were the Transit, Range Rover, Land Rover, 2CV and Renault 5. Everything else seems to be race or rally cars that would take a huge amount of time to modify. European model shops seem more interested in that sort of thing than UK ones, for example:

Even then, many models are out of print:

This UK based seller has a couple of MGBs and an XJS if that's your thing:

I don’t know if anybody is considering one of these but this came up in my email this morning.
It’s quite a bit cheaper than I’ve seen it elsewhere.
