Hi

I just came across this on eBay and was shocked by the price. I've got the same model and recall it cost about £30 when I got it a few years ago.

Is this a real reflection of the value or is this just a fantasy of the seller?!

That seems more realistic!

Some kits seem to be going for silly money on Ebay at the moment, I've got around 60 in my stash, and some are rare Tamiya ones that I could easily double/triple my money on, really tempted to shift a few of them on, I don't know if it's just lockdown fever or what's happening.

I’m quite chuffed that I probably just got the last ‘normal’ priced Tamiya Red Bull rb6 in existence.

I’ve taken a liking to F1 models and most of the newer stock are sold out. I agree with you that the lockdown has a lot to do with it.

I'm still find reasonably-priced kits on eBay - my policy is generally to chuck a few bids on things early on, then forget about them - if I get them that's great, if I don't then something else will turn up.

As all of mine are bought for building then I'm not fussed about box condition, whether they're been started etc.

That's how I ended up with this oddity a few year ago:

Don't know how much I paid, doubt it was much than £10-15 though. Difficult to find many for sale now, but on eBay in Japan there are others in the range at £250-300+!
