Quick question for those that may know.

A recent Boomerang purchase came with one of these non-BEC receivers. I have ordered a new BEC enabled ESC (Hobbywing 1060) which i assume runs the 6v power down the control plug. Will the old ARC-227 receiver pick up the power or should I buy a similar BEC enabled receiver. I want to keep vintage.

I recently fitted an ESC to my ‘83 Frog. I also wanted to keep the original Rx, but mine’s an ARB227. All I had to do was swap the polarity in the ESC plug:

Works perfectly.

ok great...so the esc plugs into channel 2 of the receiver and powers it through there along with controlling the servo?

CH1 for mine:

I’m no expert - modify at your own risk!

Just saying that’s what I found worked for my ARB227 after reading some online articles.

To close this out, it plugged in and worked.
