I'm trying to upgrade my son's Rising Fighter so it can deal with our lumpy lawn better. Tamiya do a kit (54567) but it's out of stock or very expensive once you factor in postage from Hong Kong.

And there's a bewildering array of alternatives and I've got no idea which might be any good.

Anyone got any pointers or recommendations?

Tamiya also do some "universal" CVA damper sets - these are good quality plastic oil-filled dampers and a nice upgrade to the pogo sticks on the RF. Take a look at items 50519 and 50520:

This will probably come in at around £45 if sourced in the UK, or cheaper from the Far East on eBay (with longer delivery times). Also take a look at www.tamico.de who have very good service.

That's even more expensive! I'm trying to be sensible!

How does something like this stack up? https://www.ebay.co.uk/i/133215813410?chn=ps&v...

It looks like they have it, but don't list the rising fighter as a model it fits. confused

Ah that's ok - the RF is the same chassis as the Grasshopper 2 which is listed in the eBay drop-down.
