Hello,

Are Amalgam models valued at £600 worth the money? I would like the 1:18 Enzo.

What are the best value scale models?

I had a good look at a few models on display at the Classic LeMans one year, quality and detail is beyond approach. Some of the larger scale models ran into the thousands of pounds but were simply stunning. I have a few CMC models that are equally stunning and slightly lower in price.

Well the best value are probably Tamiya.
£600 is more exclusivity and status rather than value for money.

Two completely different products, for completely different customers as far as I’m aware:

Amalgam: Predominantly hand-built, and very expensive multi-media models.

Tamiya: Relatively cheap self-assembly plastic kits.

Unless Amalgam have started doing kits?

Cheapest is Hot Wheels, so i guess they would be best value for less than £100. I have a hot wheels elite ferrari 25 Gto. Just over £100 and great model, but a £600 Amalgam is a different level altogether

Shmee has a video on youtube from their workshop when he ordered a 1/8 Mclaren Senna, absolutely amazing models

I much prefer the Weather McLaren F1.
Unfortunately, it cost more than my road car! smile

I'd struggle to pay it unless there wasn't another option. Like their 250 GTO - nice, but for the same money I'd get the CMC.
What caught your eye?
