Not sure if I posted a new thread on my most recent car purchase, I think it’s just in the other threads.

Perhaps it needs a new build thread in its own right!

Anyway that kit was cheap, but it lacked some parts, namely wheels and tyres.

Foolishly I thought I’ve got loads of pan car wheels and tyres.

But as always, they were a non standard figment.

And now can’t find them on line expect for a few Japanese shops, but those seem to fail the purchase at checkout.

So a hunt around eBay, and found these in stock.

But Jesus, check out the price!

And yes that is $1400 for just a pair, two wheels only!

Not such a bargain now is it a Nige!

Can't you just replace the hub nut on the drive shaft so normal wheels fit. That's what I've done in the past.

Failing that normal wheels modified to fit the hub nut you have. Small modelling file will sort it in an hour.

You could almost setup your own production line for that price. That or a 3D printer might be of some use.

Mine too... Cried like a baby when I first saw it in the 80s on TV.

Asia Tees have a huge stock of various sized nuts in all sorts of blingy colours. Where I tend to get bits from. Think they're Hong Kong based so delivery takes a week or two.

I have been looking at 3D printers!

This might be the catalyst for such a project!

And before someone else says it, “ I see what you did there! “ smile

Regarding the silly price.

That’s what some vendors do when they’re out of stock but don’t want to take it off.

Yeah a lot of people think these are real prices.

As for the wheels, can you post a pic? is it just a unique hex size or strange custom car?
People are printing RC wheels all the time these days. There will be someone that can resize the hex to any size you want.
Just google 3d printed RC wheels and send them a message.

Yes we know that, just thought it was amusing that two tyres look like they are priced at more than I have ever spent on a single one of my RC Cars!

Now that is saying something, wink

And yes I have found someone here who has already doe the 3D model for the wheel, now just need a 3D printer !

I’m not sure of the size, will check later, but as 1/12 scale cars they are quite small.

And of course current 1/12 scale wheels like I have for my Associated RC12 don’t use hex screws.

So i managed to get a pair of wheels without tyres on amazon of all places for the Spada 09.

They are Gold, but look OK.

And at least they were only £9.99!!

And i can confirm that as we suspected they use a standard size 12MM Hex.

I dropped one of the 12MM drive HEXs off my RC10 and its perfect.

So they are the sam size drive as 1/20 buggy hex drives, just the smaller wheel and tyre size for a 1/12 car.

So now the hunt for 1/12 wheels with hex’s begins.

Does anyone know of other makes? Perhaps Tamiya, although I’m not sure they do a 1/12 car right now?

I can have a look at my RM-01 wheels - I also remember buying a spare set of pink wheels!

More pics of the car please!

I think they might be very similar to RM-01 wheels.

I also think they are identical To Kysosho 1/12 mini wheels but those are not a front pair and rear pair.

The build pics for the Spada are going up now.

Thanks for sharing.

Are they all hex drive? Or are the front ones different, ie they look like they don’t have a hex drive on them.
