This is the fairly ancient (1967) Airfix kit. It is very basic (no cockpit or wheel well detail) but I was after something simple. The decals have not aged well - my version was a 1973 or so era kit in a blister pack so the decals were around 47 years old.
I painted the white fuselage band and the cross on the tail as the I didn't like the look of the white in the decals provided.

Nice model, but my word what an ugly aeroplane. Apparently the Italians made a half-hearted contribution to the Battle of Britain with some of these, but they were seen off by Hurricanes.

I see the inspiration for colour scheme is in the Amazing Photos thread - looks better as a biplane imho.

I made one of these about 10 years ago, and found that the engine/nose has an odd angle to the rest of the airframe (pointing upwards by a few degrees). It must fly with an 'arse up attitude smile

Great model BTW.
