This has been shared on the other thread, but thought I should stop going off topic and start a new thread just for this one.

So background, I bought this engine to power my 40 size trainer Airplane at least 20 years ago.

The plane it was in met a sad end when I tried a low pass loop, which left it buried in the ground.

The plane and airframe were toast, but the engine seemed good,

Plan was always to put it into another model, and we did
, but that’s a separate and new story thread for here.

So back to current say it was time for a clean and brush up.

Didn’t take any pictures of the engine covered in dirt and old glow fuel residue, but it wasn’t pretty.

However, after a bit of work with a tooth brush and some engine clean it came up looking good.

And yesterday I had the inspiration to use the old 1/8 engine mounts I had to build a test stand for the engine.

Engine is running better now, but still running way too cool!

Still it’s not doing bad considering it’s age!
