Odd models on Wish?

So I’ve bought quite a lot of tat on wish, including some rc model stuff.

So they push lots more tat at me, and this came up today.

It’s pretty bizarre if you read the description, it’s a scale rock crawler, but with a nitro engine, fair enough, but it seems that nitro engine runs a generator to power to electric motors for the drive train?

Also for some really bizarre reason it’s running a Marine Ic engine with a water cooled jacket, so that also needs a radiator, a water pump, and all the associated stuff to keep a water cooled engine running.

I just don’t get it, why on Earth would you even bother?

The only thing I can think is that electric means you can instantly reverse it without a gearbox, and IC means you might get marginally more run time, and that the water cooling makes it more like a real car, albeit a hybrid. I'd just see it as a bit of a model engineering exercise. I quite like it TBH.
