Chaps,
I am proud to unveil, at last, the hardest model I've ever made. Started in 2003, stuck in 2004, restarted in 2019 and finally completed in Jan 2020.

(The last page is empty as I can't take good photos until I can get my lighting back)
I make no claims to be a web expert but hopefully the content is worth it
Thanks for looking.

Thanks guys, it's hard to express in a few photos how damn difficult it was! Scratch-building is a challenge in its own right but in this case the plans were for the real boat not a kit, metalwork is an alien language and I couldn't use paint so everything is on show. It didn't help that some of the brass was as hard as steel; it was only thanks to someone here that I eventually found out about annealing which made the impossible just about possible. God knows how many scroll-saw blades I got through!
Most of my studio lighting is stranded 20 miles away where I left it in March, hence the lack of 'finished' photos, but they will be done when I can.
