Anyone got the full collection of the old Tamiya classics in 1/100 scale from Japan?

AFAIK they were a free gift from Georgia coffee company in Japan, I bought these maybe 10 years ago off eBay in Japan.

Sadly I don’t have the mystery car (Avante) though but all the rest.

I’ve only put the grasshopper together and the rest are sealed still.

Something some of you may not have seen to lighten the mood.

Seller also sent me this little kyosho Alfa

They look good, I've never seen them before.
I have one of these.

Looks good! I've got these, I got them loose in a bag in a second-hand toy shop in Japan so I've no idea where they came from. They are 2 different scales, shown with a ZZ scale train for reference. biggrin

I remember these, I think I have a Hotshot somewhere. I also have the Turbo Scorpion above - a great replica of my first “real” r/c smile

Superb, much more detail than these. Wonder what their story is.

The original Hotshot was my first RC car in mid 80’s! I was lucky that my uncle was really in to RC stuff and encouraged my gran to buy it for me for Xmas. She also got me the Porsche 959 when it came out too, that was my fav.

I still remember my uncle spending months building an RC helicopter in the 80’s, they were a bit different to today! It was a proper complex kit. First flight he lost control about 5ft up and smashed it into a thousand pieces! He went back to planes after that!

Seems like Suntory and UCC both did at least 2 sets on cans of coffee. Looks like mine are the Suntory ones:

UCC sets:

and the larger ones I have were apparently mystery boxes that were sold in convenience stores:
