Indeed. We are all polite and above board on this part of PH - no smuttyness allowed here
It was to do with the guns fitted. The "Male" version had what were essentially artillery pieces fitted. The "Female" version had lighter armament.
There was also a "Hermaphrodite" version which had a combination of the two armament options.
Later versions dispensed with the rear steering dolly.
