It seems that the excellent Tamiya “PC-“ lexan brush-paints are, since a long time, no longer available.

When I’m restoring old kits, and often adding details to new ones, a brushed detail would be much easier to achieve than masking and a tiny area of spraying.

Does anyone know an alternative source? Or shall I just break out some trusty “normal” modelling enamels?

I remember painting my Tamiya Frog body back in ‘83. I got the “PC” Pink and white, but couldn’t get any black for the roll cage. After weeks of waiting I used Humbrol Gloss Black, and it’s been on there ever since...

I think enamel would be fine on small areas with limited flexibility.

I used to use testors/ pactra rc paints for this, came in 30ml glass jars. Still seems to be available.
