Rod Stewart's model railway
Discussion
Apparently he would take kits, tools and paints with him and book an extra hotel room for a workshop so he could pursue his hobby in between concerts wherever he was in the world.

Pretty impressive feat, I suspect he's not lying about having done 90% of the work.

Good to see a "cool dude" indulging himself in such a hobby. Makes the rest of us model builders feel better about ourselves.
Yeah, bit of a shame he's felt the need to keep it so secretive over the years.I hope some video content comes out of his set up, I love a good model railway 'fly-through'!

What happened to the guy with the orange Lambo from Evo who was building the model junction on here?
Not a update since February 2018 sadly! (although he doesn't seem to be that active on PH at the moment, only two other posts on PH since then both Lambo related)ApexCult said:

Anyone remember the huge one at Alton Towers in the 1960's, before it became that god awful theme park?

Sir Rod called in to Jeremy Vine on radio 2 this morning to put Vine straight after his hands-on involvement was questioned....and then he and Jools Holland, on separate lines, had a dublo love-in....followed by Steve Lamaq enthusing about his end to end layout...surreal and fantastic all at once, echoed by a tweet by Victori Coren-Mitchell!
Agree that Hamburg's Miniature Wonderland is off the scale awesome and worth a trip over on it's own...and then there's the kolch bars, reeperbahn, Soviet sub.....
