Another Toon Tank
Discussion
My second Toon Tank.
Another quick build, this time focusing on the hairspray technique, my first proper go at it. Using the AK Russian 4BO Shadow as a base, I used Morrison's finest before laying standard 4BO Green on top.
That feeling when the paint starts chipping off as you'd hoped. Tried to be a bit more realistic this time compared to the KV-2, and I think it is a bit more restrained.
After this I used the usual MIG Ammo filter and wash for green vehicles. Then tried some Kursk dust mixed with Russian Earth to dirty up the wheels and some upper surfaces.
The rubber tracks were painted a black/brown and treated with MIG Ammo Track wash and dabbed with various brown pigments, then rubbed my finger with a bit of Boltgun Metal over the raised bits.
Was going to try a whitewash but bottled it when I tried on the bottom and it failed miserably. I think I left the hairspray too long while I got distracted starting another model.
Well here are the pictures.
