Cheap (£500) CNC router vs. laser
Discussion
Over the past couple of years I've played around with laser cutters to make various odd things up and just experiment.
I quite like the idea of being able to cut accurate parts for models at home, only be from ply, acrylic or thin timber sections.
To do this with a laser I know I am going to want at least 80w just to get the cutting speed and that suddenly puts it into the £1000+
Anyone use a CNC router to cut parts? Not that fussed about the 3 axis element, more being able to draw up parts in cad and cut from a sheets of 3mm ply or whatever.
Thanks
