Not sure if this is the right forum subsection but still...

My missus and I are thinking about what to get our 4 year old for Christmas.
My dads been in the loft and found my old Micro machine sets (the big van that folds out into a city etc) and our son absolutely loves them.

However I can’t find any of the cars/tanks/planes/helicopters. I’ve got the odd car and he seems obsessed with them.
I thought it’d be great to get him some for Christmas but it seems they don’t make them anymore and they’ve sort of fallen into that retro toy realm on EBay and cost a fair bit.

My mum found a set of these in Tesco but they don’t seem to do any others in the range. (unfortunately she gave them to him when she spotted them)

Does anyone know where I can get some mini cars, planes, tanks that he can use with my old micro machine play sets?
I’ve found mini pullback cars but they’re not quite the same.
They don’t have to be of any brand or be new, i’d Just like to get a pile of them and put them in a tub for him to unwrap.
Apologise for a Christmas thread so early!
Thanks in advance

Edit: picture of the van/city incase anyone doesn’t have a clue what I’m on about!

Best bet is to get on ebay and grab a job lot of original micromachines.

I've seen them go for not too much, although some rare ones fetch a bit.

My eBay watch list is full of Micro machines now haha.

I’ll have to get to Poundland and take a look.
Any mini vehicles will do so worth a look.

Please quantify which ones are rare?!? My parents could be sleeping under a goldmine of Micromachines!

I’m so annoyed I can’t find mine, I had hundreds of them.

I wanted a Chinook so badly. My auntie went to almost every toy shop in the midlands trying to find a pack with one in.
She eventually convinced the staff at Woolworths to let her root through the boxes in their store room and found me one!

If I do fine them I’m keeping the chinook!

If anyone wants to sell any drop me a PM and I’m sure we can sort something out.

it seems to vary, best bet is to have a trawl through ebays completed/sold items and see what various stuff went for.

the micro machines themselves seem more desirable than the playsets, ironic really considering the playsets weren't cheap from what i remember...super van city, toolbox city etc.

I have one of these, it’s red rather than yellow though, really enjoyed micro machines, except the video games though.

It only showed you a couple of inches infront and was rediculously fast moving.

Great timing as I found my box of Micromachines, stack loads of them, star wars, babylon 5, bikes, cars, boats, helicopters, planes, train set, the lot. Even found all the original playsets, some still in the boxes. My 6 year olds love them. Maybe I will keep the ones worth some money away from them.

I had stacks and stacks of micromachines, espeically the travel city stuff, was all stored in my parents loft and some how 90% has gone missing/thrown out by my parents. The fact that it was all in the same box but some of it remains is a complete mystery.
