Hi there, took me 18 months to finally finish this:

....and taking one enormous leap from a kit created in circa 2016 to one from the 1960’s

Fun and games at the mo getting the laminated deck to fit....all trial fitting of course...

Both looking really great. The result is everything, not the time! When you look at a great, completed kit, the time taken becomes irrelevant.

And by the way, your baragraph is identical to my late dads. Seen similar ones, but never identical before. Nice one!

As a Ducati owner, this pleases me.
Good result.
Was there any upgrade parts involved ?
The last bike kit i made was a red and white '98 R1 (had a full size one at the time).

Thanks for the comments! The only upgrades were stainless steel nuts, bolts set from the US of A. A nice enhancement to what is a super kit.

I was determined to enjoy the build and not rush it. As a consequence I only worked on it when I had time and was in the mood.

I have it displayed behind where I work on the Cutty Sark...as inspiration!

Thanks re comments on the baragraph.....yes it’s a very nice thing and was presented to a Lt Gifford RN HMS Gibraltar on the 4th Nov 1911...according to the plaque on it.
