Hi All,

i'm looking to build some props soon and one of the things i need are detail parts to kit bash the thing together.

does anyone know of a good source of left over parts / very cheap kits. my local hobby shop doesn't have any and internet searches have not been helpful.

happy to pay for anything that comes up but looking for stuff that might be destined for the bin

any help is greatly received

Check eBay for kits started and not finished. And sometimes people sell their spare parts bins if they give up modelling.

Have you asked on any actual kit building websites - such as Britmodeller?

Is this specifically car models you want, or just any kind of model kits in any scale?

There are quite a few. Britmodeller is just one. Other UK based forums are -

UAMF (the Unofficial Airfix Modellers' Forum)
The Airfix Tribute Forum

There are others but they are the ones I tend to frequent. You'll need to check their rules regarding buying and selling but they are generally quite good if you sign up as a member and then just make non-commercial type requests. Modellers often help each other out with spare or replacement parts and/or decals.
