Hi - new here and hope someone can help? Had my pre built SCX10 for years and my water play finally killed bits of it.

The Axial radio gear was lost in the woods by the kid (!) so replaced with https://www.modelsport.co.uk/absima-cr2s-v2-2-chan... and the bundled receiver. All fine. Then it took another swim which it didn't;t take kindly to. So I bought another R3FS Absima receiver for the car. Dead. So I then bough another Axial AE-1 ESC for the car which I assumed was then the last remaining part to try as it almost certainly got wet. Still Nothing.

It all powers up ok but I cannot get anything to move anymore.

Can anyone help with what simple steps I'm missing please?

Thanks

Does the servo for steering move?

I know some times the radio gear will need a calibration with a new esc.

Turn on the car, then the radio gear, hold full acceleration for a few seconds then the same in reverse.

Not a sausage. The receiver & transmitter look paired and the new ESC lights up so assume it's working. *grumpy*

The connectors on the receiver may be wrong, either in the wrong place or the wrong way around.

This of any use?

In that first photo I think your 2nd connector needs to be round the other way.
Normally the black wire needs to be on the outside edge of the unit (like the connector nearest the camera).

As said second connector in the receiver is the wrong way round. Black wire on the outside.

First thing to check

Have you paired the handset to the receiver?
Then
Reset end points?

Is the battery fully charger? Are the batteries in the transmitter good?

Also when you do get it back together and working. Have you got the receiver in a box to keep it waterproof? I have just sold my SCX and never had a problem with going for a swim as it was all sealed and clean after use.

She’s alive..!

A bit of concentration and effort this afternoon and we’re in reasonable order. All working.

Slight stumble in that the steering servo now doesn’t seem man enough. It’s got a full quota of wheel weights in the fronts in particular. This may need addressing.

May or may not be best part of 40 and may or may not be looking forward to playing with it in the woods...
