Hi all.

I was going to get one last year, but other things took priority!

I have a HP Nitro truck, Savage I think, (brilliant fun, but at ex's and haven't got it back yet) loved it, didnt mind the looking after it, tweaking etc. Goes forever, then rebuilding it when you smash it up.
I've had in the past Tamiya stuff, Hornets, Grasshopper, Beetle, LunchBox etc) but they last 10 mins after a charge, not quick, but fun etc.

I looked at a Traxxass something or the other last year, was around 600, (off ebay, local ish) with a load of extras, looked brilliant for the money, but it fell through.

I would like, something fast. Big-ish, don't care whether Nitro or Brushless. Anything around the 200-600 quid mark. Would quite like second hand as they generally have a load of extras.

Anyone got any ideas for me?

Cheers

Traxxas TRX-4, more a scale crawler but can be reasonably quick in top gear, can be retrofitted with a brushless ESC and motor
Axial Yeti with brushless motor, kit version comes with some nice upgrades from new
Axial Wraith - good all rounder, can be quick with a brushless motor and 3s batteries, most second hand will be upgraded

I will second the Axial Yeti 1/10th..

picked up a secondhand one of ebay last year - stuck a decent brushless setup into it and its a hoot to drive - will easily wheelie off the line at full throttle or lift its front wheels under power, and demolishes most terrain with ease. Loads of tune up parts available and good to work on as well..

If you don't mind waiting for it to arrive from China then these are supposed to be very good and excellent value: https://www.gearbest.com/rc-cars/pp_606833.html

I've got on on my wish list.

Loads of reviews, details etc. on RCGroups.

Coffin Dodger....the link you sent, is that where you would get yours from? I'm liking the 1/8th scale.

Thanks

Yeah as they seem to be the cheapest for it and have a fairly good reputation. I've bought stuff from them before without issue. Expect it to take 3-4 weeks to arrive though.

Thanks, I may take a punt, there seems to be an offer on at the moment, I dont mind waiting as it will give me something to look forward too.

Looks like you cant get spare batteries at the moment, guess they will come soon.

You can get batteries, so long as you know the dimensions just go on somewhere like https://hobbyking.com/en_us/lipo.html and find one that fits + has the voltage and discharge current rating required.

Ordered it Coffin Dodger....

Slightly worried when after paying, I went into "My Orders" and it came up with a warning "Due to the Snowstorm, your item will be delayed!"

Don't mind waiting a month ha ha

Hope its good!
