Dinkys/Corgis - any way to approximate value?
Discussion
I've got a number of Dinky Toys and Corgis of various types from some decades ago (70s >80s). Is there any way to get an idea of what the value might be either as a collection or possibly individually? Only one is boxed, some are complete in what I wold describe as VGC, others at the other end of the scale with everything in between.
There are military, fiction sci-fi, 'real word' vehicles, perhaps the odd aircraft etc etc - it's a really mixed bag. Any advice on how to get started on valuing these please?

I would suggest a quick look on ebay - go into the "toys" section and then the "diecast and vehicles" part.
Search through the Corgi and Dinky listings and see what sort of money comparable items make.
You might be lucky and find something you have is a rare item - generally unboxed diecast of this era is not worth a fortune (some rare colour versions might be a bit more valuable - especially those that were only issued as part of Gift Sets) and mint/boxed is always better!
TV and film-related models are quite highly rated - but need to be complete with all accessories and parts.
Some military items are popular along with farm equipment and certain liveries of commercial vehicles.
"Playworn" (unless a very rare item) is not highly prized...condition is the key factor.
