Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone can help me out with my boys Christmas present. I'm after a decent RC car for him that might start him out racing. I wanted it to be fairly future proof and potentially tune able.

I've been down to the local club meet and they suggested this one:
https://hobbyking.com/en_us/bsr-racing-bz-444-pro-...
The problem is it's out of stock and i don't know if it'll come back in before Christmas. It looks like the best one. I've had some experience with HobbyKing so i'm happy to buy from them. It's the most expensive but it might work out cheaper in the long run if it's tougher.

Other options are:

https://www.modelsport.co.uk/ftx-vantage-1-10-4wd-...
https://www.nitrotek.co.uk/rc-cars/electric-cars/1...

I've read mixed reviews about all of them. Does anyone have any experience with any of the above? Or any kit they have that they might want to sell?

Just got my son an ecx amp Mt. I used to have a buggy as a kid and this seems a bit bigger and better for back garden /longer grass stuff.

So far so good with it, although he is 9 and it is a starter rc for him. Seems to be plenty upgradable though

I used to be into a bit of R/C stuff and I only ever bought one that never seemed to need any parts, and it was the fastest one I owned if i ran it with two batteries, and it was waterproof, you can actually drive it Underwater..Not sure if it is the style you are after though?

I give you the 1/16 revo.

There is a 1/10 version , but I can't vouch for that one as I didn't have one.
