Recently I have been clearing my late Grandmas House, the below train used to be my Grandads but am unsure what to do with it? Does anyone know what make it is or if it would likely be of interest to any collectors? There is also a load of track and and a transformer but im not sure if the transformer belongs to this set as there are other later trains and parts in the same collection.

looks like "Lionel Ives" pre war model train set ( I've no further info but google is your friend )

Looks like the loco is a Lionel 254 from the late 1920s, early 1930s, amazing that it is nearly 90 years old!

Never mind the train. Draught beer for 50p, maybe a pint!!! Early 1980's newspaper?
