Wow! Did you use a detail set or scratch-build?

You should post on F1M

Nice. Great details.

Up there as one of the prettiest F1 cars ever built (at least when assembled smile).

Great job Nick, that engine is heavy with wiring, I'm very impressed. It adds a lot of time to a build to plumb in that extra detail.

Well done!

Looks great - I can see a hell of a lot of work (and no doubt frustration at times!). I’m in the process of building the Tamiya MP4/6.

One question: Where did you get the “open” Dzeus bodywork fasteners? They really look good.

Thanks, I’ve got most of the Thunder Valley sets, but don’t remember seeing the open fasteners. I’ll look again.

Here’s my MP4/6:

Currently it’s a kerbside rebuild of one I built years ago, with a new, bare chassis version to follow. I’ve got the TV stuff, plus all the Top Studio sets.

If you mean the MP4/6, I have my own photos of the car from 1991, but they are very limited in detail. I bought the Joe Honda MP4/6 reference book, but apart from all that, the Top Studio detail sets have comprehensive wiring and plumbing instructions. My biggest issue was obtaining details of the carbon types on the wings and floor, but I did get reference pics from the Donington collection (in the linked thread).

If you mean for the F190, I think there is a Joe Honda reference book for that too. I believe Top Studio are in the process of developing full detail sets for it, and the FW14B, which will obviously make things fairly easy.
