For a few years I've been playing around with Lego Scalextric slot cars:

They're now running really well if you'd like to take a look:

Various crash tests and speed runs, and a fair bit on the new Lego train set smile

Thats a stupidly good idea. surprised it hasn't been officially done, supply a basic chassis and build your own cars. make crashes more fun

They did a couple of years ago- scalextric quickbuild. Had the drift guide blade in too so lots of fun to slide round.

Loving the op's designs, interested what motors is being used?

Thanks for the nice comments.

Yes the quickbuild is good, however the Lego tends to be too heavy.

I use the old 70's 12v motors or 4.5v motors with a 12v car adapter stepping down.

Motor is: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.p...
